Tim A Peterman is an accomplished interactive media executive with more than 25 years of proven leadership as CEO and CFO across publicly traded media, consumer retail and technology enterprises, both domestic and international. He is Certified Public Accountant with extensive experience in SEC reporting and Nasdaq compliance, U.S. and international M&A, equity and debt transactions, and corporate restructurings. Mr. Peterman’s specialty is leading companies through critical inflection points arising from technology and leadership shifts, evolving market conditions, and senior lender challenges. Specific examples of his turnaround successes include:
• 2023 — iMedia Brands CEO: Led the company through a lender-driven liquidity restructuring and strategic sale totaling $75+ million.
• 2017 — iMedia Brands CFO & COO: Executed turnaround, achieved company’s first profitable year.
• 2008 — The E.W. Scripps Company (Interactive Media Leadership): Defined the interactive media growth strategy, supporting a $7+ billion corporate spin-offs.
• 2002 — IAC (Media Finance Leadership): Turned around USA Network and the Sci-Fi Channel within two years, contributing to a subsequent $12+ billion transaction.
• 1997 — Sinclair Broadcast Group: Structured 14 local marketing agreements and supported the acquisition of a television station group for $300+ million.
• 1995 — Tribune Entertainment (Business Affairs): Supported the production and distribution of movies-of-the-week, talk shows, sitcoms, and award programming.
Mr. Peterman is also an accomplished author, founder and chairman of TPYS Media, an emerging literary production studio producing video and audio revivals of consequential books from yesterday voiced by today's personalities whose provenance to the story creates a renewed relevance and entertainment.
